Contract Personnel Security Officer

Job Description
Functions as Contract Personnel Security Officer in a military facility/center. Establish and maintain personnel/visitor control files showing individualclearances for classified visits and training, that reflects periodicreinvestigation, monitor JPAS on reported adverse information involvingstaff or visitors, manage and Administer Joint Personnel Adjudication System(JPAS), DTRA accounts in JPAS by ensuring that employees has the correctowning agency for their clearance and that clearances are picked up ortransferred during employee turnover, Local Security Data Base System(Secure Access) by produce system reports as needed to track information ondocument control numbers, clearances and visit requests, program analysis,integration, functional application and operational implementation of theSecure Access Database system to support personnel security branchactivities, review existing operating procedures and security educationmaterial and draft updates to the items as required, Assist with SecurityIn/Out Processing Center Administrative Duties that include retrieving DTRAissued badges, decals and cancelling visits, review and update DTRA visitorcontrol procedures and ensure that visitors are properly identified,cleared, and badged before they are granted access to DTRA spaces and localarea networks. Security Clearance Requirements for this position iseligibility of Top Secret (Interim TS until a final determination issufficient for access to systems required for mission).


Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of DSS required personnel security training. Â Â
Detailed knowledge of personnel security requirements in NISPOM, DOD 5200 series and applicable DCID directives.
OPM clearance procedures. E-QIP; JPAS use and management.
Able to communicate clearly orally and in writing.
Must have at least a DoD Top Secret clearance
Must have at least AS degree and 3 years of experience as a Personnel Security contractor for DoD and/or Intelligence Community (two years of qualified work experience maybe substituted for one year of education)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with military, DTRA
Active DoD Top Secret clearance min.
