Job Description

SUMMARY

The Director of Security is responsible for enhancing the company’s corporate, academic, and consumer security offering as well as developing procedures and protocols specific to security assistance and supporting Sales and Marketing staff as a subject matter expert in the space of travel risk management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and lead security related requests for assistance.

2. Lead the development and execution of evacuation planning during client security assistance requests.

3. Provide members (external clients) and internal Operations staff with advice related to security concerns.

4. Work effectively across multiple functions and levels within the company and member organizations.

5. Train and supervise selected Operations staff in security protocols and procedures.

6. Reviews vendor and partner capabilities to ensure adequate capabilities are in place to meet member needs.

7. Build on vendor partnerships to fill gaps where needed in security offering to ensure a global reach specific to security product offerings.

8. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing team as a subject matter expert.

9. Provide situational security analysis to client administrators.

10. Responsible for the analysis of security content to ensure clear recommendations are conveyed to clients through operations staff.

11. Provide logistical expertise and advice on security services for clients including executive protection, secure transport, local provider vetting, and discrete evacuations globally.

12. Responsible for continuous needs assessment related to security products and services.

13. Take a leading role organization’s security product development.

COMPETENCIES / ABILITIES

The successful candidate will need to be: a big picture strategist who pays close attention to the day-to-day details; self-directed; own a strong sense of urgency and have the ability to multi-task multiple priority items at once; exercise problem solving skills, demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to clearly convey thoughts and ideas.

Must be willing to travel and work outside normal business hours on short notice. This individual should have a personal interest in keeping up on developments in travel risk management solutions, own a passion for helping people and a love for all-things travel assistance.
