The Global Security Director is the principal advisor for security, protection and law enforcement matters affecting APR Energy. Primary areas of responsibility to include physical and technical security, risk management, personnel security, training, emergency management and administration.Responsibilities:
Ensures that APR Energy has a comprehensive security program to effectively cope with security issues covering the full gamut of emergencies (e.g., evacuations, thefts, storms, lightning damages, sabotage, poaching, assaults, etc.)
Ensures that supporting programs such as prevention, coordination and communication within APR Energy in response to emergencies, (e.g., civil disturbance, terrorist activity, natural disasters, violence in the workplace, and investigations of reported or apparent violations of criminal statutes) are carried out and emergency preparedness planning and responses are in place and effective.
Oversees strategic and business planning, goal-setting, quality implementation, organizational performance measurement, and re-invention efforts, to ensure alignment with APR Energy’s vision, values and goals.
Ensures adequate control systems to monitor expenses and remain within budgeted amounts; and that financial management and related reporting systems are responsive, accurate and efficient.
Undertakes a variety of representational and liaison duties that include presentations to APR Energy senior management.
Works closely with Department of Justice (FBI), Police and Fire Departments, Department of Transportation, and other public sector and law enforcement organizations as necessary.
Insures close contact and communication on a frequent basis with senior APR Energy Management and Plant Operations Staff.
Keeps abreast of latest private and public sector developments in the protection services field in order to evaluate applicability of those developments to APR Energy and incorporate best practices into security programs.
Oversees and manages security staff and/ or vendors to implement security programs in country.

Qualifications:
Must have experience that would provide the knowledge of law enforcement and physical and technical security policies, procedures and operations.
Must possess the skills and abilities related to the management of a comprehensive security program for a multi-facility organization.
Demonstrated ability to lead law enforcement/security and emergency management programs for large, geographically dispersed organization. Experience could include programs such as basic law enforcement training, weapons training, physical security, personnel security including background investigations, and/or criminal investigation.
Demonstrated executive level ability to collaboratively work across organization (federal, state, local, and tribal) lines to implement disaster preparedness programs.
Demonstrated executive level ability to communicate with all levels of an organization and examples of frequent contact with internal organizations and external supported units to insure personnel are properly trained and prepared to accomplish their daily mission and goals.
Advanced written and oral communication skills, as evidenced by being able to deal with diverse audiences in difficult circumstances such as testifying in court or being deposed.
Ability to deliver a controversial message to an audience while maintaining composure under pressure.
Must be able to travel to all International destinations for lengthy periods of time, and in harsh conditions (i.e. intense heat, sub-par living conditions, and at times dangerous environments).
Ability to make clear presentations to the highest levels of leadership as well as to entry level staff.
The successful candidate will have executive presence within an organization to be able to develop, sustain and leverage relationships with key managers, as well as critical external partners and establish a presence in the professional community.
Management expertise in the development and administration of budgets, creating strategic plans, goal setting, a revenue generating programs and the implementation of results-based programs or performance measures that have increased productivity.
