Position Summary
The Physical Security Specialist will assist in the planning and service requirements of physical security systems across a diverse customer base. Responsible for providing installation and technical support on all new and legacy physical security systems. This role requires the ability to communicate with customers in non-technical terms with little knowledge on the systems. A successful candidate will be highly detail oriented, able to manage multiple responsibilities, a self-starter, and have the ability to work independently and as a team. Position may be located in Wichita, KS or Arlington, VA.

Additional responsibilities will include, though not limited to:
• Process and track incoming support requests and assign resources for resolution
• Acts as primary point of contact for physical security emergency issues.
• Create and maintain security system end user documentation for Security Operation Center (SOC) personnel
• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of electronic equipment to and from sites
• Provide support to the Security Operations Center Central Station alarm monitoring systems (Compass, RPS, and MKMS)
• Maintain databases of all technical documents related to security equipment deployed across locations
• Coordinate small to medium size security projects across the Executive Protection customer base
• Attend meetings and planning sessions with internal and external project team constituents
• Identify and document areas for process improvement
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art security equipment
• Effectively communicate with vendors

Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, installing, and/or configuring technical systems
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Understanding of IT network topology and the flow of data across a network
• Experience with server/PC workstation support
• Bachelor’s degree OR 4+ years’ experience in troubleshooting, installing, and/or configuring technical systems
• Ability to be on-call 24/7, including holidays
• Willingness to travel 30% of the time

Preferred
• Experience in troubleshooting/installing/configuring security systems and related software (i.e. video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection) in an office and/or a residential environment
• Manufacturer certifications in product knowledge (i.e. LENEL, Genetec, Honeywell)
• Familiarity with audio-visual systems
• Experience in residential security applications
• Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification
