**This position could transition into an on-call or permanent position.

Doyon Logistics Services (DLS) Security Guard force will ensure and maintain all physical security, visitor processing and badging, response to intrusion alarms, monitoring personnel access, common access card issuance, communication security, counterintelligence support, and both electronic and information systems security support. Additional duties may be assigned, and all duties require specialized training in methods and techniques of protecting secure areas. Demonstrate continuing physical fitness and proficiency with firearms or other special weapons as required by the contract.

Essential Functions:
• Verify identity of all persons entering installation and assess all vehicles for threats to the installation.
• Check visitor identifications against access rosters.
• Deter and prevent, by use of necessary force, unauthorized access to the installation through the access control point.
• Maintain radio contact with the installation command and control.
• Adhere to standards of conduct that include professionalism, self control, poise, and an even temperament at all times that will reflect positively on themselves, their employer and the contract
• Shall meet any reliability standards as defined by the customer, regulation or government contract
• Provide ingress/egress control at the station of assignment, and conduct personnel or package, searches in accordance with applicable SOPs.
• Maintain a log of all personnel and vehicles entering and leaving the Access Control Point, as required by the specific Installation SOP.
• Immediately report illegal acts and incidents, attempts of unauthorized entry and all suspicious or unusual activity in accordance with local SOP.
• Notify the proper authorities and/or police/fire department in the event of an emergency situation.
• Comply with Special Guard Post Requirements.
• Perform vehicle inspections inside and outside motor vehicles to locate and identify threats to the installation.
• Properly detect and detain, by necessary use of force, persons suspected of committing other offenses such as drunk driving, improper transport of weapons, or other criminal violations IAW local SOPs and/or special orders.
• Provide ingress/egress control using physical security through the use of applicable technology or special security equipment

Requirements
•US citizen. •At least 21 years of age. •Valid WA state driver's license. •Able to speak, read, write and understand English. •Prior military, security and/or law enforcement experience preferred. •Pass all mental, medical and physical testing requirements. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Secret government clearance. •Possess a current, valid Washington State Security Guard License, preferred. •Must be able to provide verifiable employment and personal references. PREFERENCE STATEMENT: Preference will be given to Doyon shareholders and shareholders of other Alaska Native Corporations in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g) and Title 42 U.S. Code 2003-2(i). All candidates must be authorized to work in the US for any employer, and be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
