Job Summary

The Regional Security Manager, East (RSM East) will drive consulting security revenue growth and the effective coordination and delivery of security consulting, training, and managed services in the East Region. The role provides direct support to International SOS’s Americas distribution channel in order to drive customer satisfaction and profitable growth across relevant business lines and in the security consulting & solutions P&L.
 
Key performance indicators for this role include:
• Act as a subject matter expert on security for consulting solutions; attend meetings with clients and prospects to scope solutions and drive client engagement
• Identify consulting, programs and managed service opportunities in collaboration with the Americas Director Security Solutions, the East Region commercial team, and the Americas Medical & Security Consulting and Solutions management team
• Ensure high-quality delivery of consulting solutions in the East Region across a broad range of topics, including risk assessment, crisis management, event security, escalation planning, site security assessment, travel security policy, etc., in line with client expectations and the Americas Consulting Practice standards
• In the capacity of Consultant, scope and deliver services as per Consulting & Solutions delivery framework
• Actively engage in appropriate social, professional, media and networking activities and events in East Region, which strengthen International SOS brand recognition in the security and risk management industry

Job Description

Develop and Drive Consulting & Solutions results (Security)

• Provide professional security expertise to drive consulting opportunities through East Region, regional and global/cross border engagement with clients and prospects
• Lead the consulting security sales support function in East Region, guiding priorities and targets in collaboration with the Security Director, Security Solutions, the Americas Consulting & Solutions Engagement Director and sales and general management East Region
• Act as a security partner in East Region to support the Engagement Director the Americas Consulting & Solutions, Account Management and Business Development teams to maintain ongoing relationships with key clients, and identify consulting solutions to complement their International SOS subscription services; elevate International SOS to trusted advisor status for key security clients in the East Region
• Responsible for the continuous improvement of any security consulting delivery within the East Region as per the Quality Management System and ISO
• Help identify and onboard external consultants for specific missions and engagements. Manage external consultants during the delivery process, provide guidance and support
• Provide input to security consulting and managed service solution design and delivery in support of the Consulting & Solutions global agenda, bringing market input and experience to solution development and deployment

Represent International SOS
• Represent International SOS in professional forums, marketing events and media in the region
• Support the design, promotion and delivery of marketing & thought leadership materials relevant to consulting security clients in the region
• Develop strong peer networks through associations, contacts and working relationships with clients
• Be the voice of security in the country within International SOS, providing insight on trends, themes and areas of focus

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of global and regional security developments.
• Advocate for clients through localization and driving innovation of services
• Provide local market, customer and competitor insight
• Prepare for and actively participate in Consulting & Solutions Practice and Security Services calls and projects, forums, events and meetings when and where appropriate
• Support the Regional Security Centres’ situational awareness, broaden existing contacts and develop local provider networks where appropriate
• In exceptional circumstances, provide operational security support during major crises and surge. Deploy as part of an Incident Management Team globally as needed
• Provide local market, customer, and competitor insight.
• In exceptional circumstances deploy as part of an Incident Management Team (IMT) in response to an incident where clients require on-the-ground assistance as required.

Qualification
Required Skills and Knowledge

Experience in corporate security environment and/or planning, developing, and delivering of security consulting solutions; business development experience advantageous
Risk and crisis management experience; appropriate certification advantageous
Strong demonstratable understanding of security and risk mitigation concepts
Effective communication skills
Effective report writing skills
Effective presentation skills
Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
Relationship building
Experience in high or extreme risk environments advantageous

Desirable Work Experience
Experience in security: corporate, consulting, military, police, intelligence, NGO, disaster management or relevant field of academia
Security planning or crisis management expertise
Client management experience
Business development related experience advantageous

Additional Information
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in security, politics, international relations, law enforcement, criminal science, disaster management or related field

Required Languages

Fluent in spoken and written English (business level); other regional languages advantageous

Travel / Rotation Requirements
Regional and international travel dependent on business needs, and including Incident Management Team (IMT) deployments
Willingness to work outside of normal duty hours in support of client requirements
