Military Program Manager - Garden City ,NY

Overview: Candidate will have the overall responsibility for the daily operation of multiply military programs for which AAR performs component test, repair, and overhaul services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Working directly with Product Line Directors and internal/external customers to support the performance of each program to ensure that all contractual requirements and AAR Corp./ACS goals are met -Leads Programs – focused meetings and make periodic visits to develop relationship with customers to obtain more business. -Provides Program- specific inputs for the development, implementation and execution of the overall AAR ACS business plan. -Prepare reports for the Vice President of Military Programs and Senior AAR Management on each program’s financial and operational performance to include sales, margin, TAT, and quality. -Work with many levels of Management and Departments within ACS, therefore good communications skills are required.
Education/
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree of 5-10 years of related management experience. Technical or Business Degree preferred. - Minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated success in a Military/Commercial MRO or Aerospace OEM, as a PM or position which supports Logistics or Contracting. - High level of communication, productivity optimization, and organization skills. Moderate analytical skills - Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. - MS Project and or Lean/SPC Black Belt is a plus.
