Security

Seasonal/Part time work: Looking for former law enforcement officers who want to work security during the spring/winter months. The work requires the individual to have their own vehicle. Individuals will be called upon to work after significant weather events (snow storms, ice storms, hurricanes, etc.). Individuals will receive a paid training session prior to being called upon to work.
What is required: Individuals will be assigned to areas in the Westchester area to safeguard potential hazards after a significant weather event.
Anticipated work load: Work load will vary depending on weather conditions – The actual number of times an individual will be called cannot be guaranteed as it is all based on weather conditions. However; based on
past experience and weather patterns there may be anywhere from 3 to 7 requests for service. The tours of duty will normally be 12 hours long.
Individuals will park at the location and ensure no one enters the area until repair crews have had a chance to fix the condition.
Compensation: The standard rate of pay will be $22.00 per hour, along with a $3.00 per hour stipend for use of the individual’s car.
