McKean Defense Group has a Security & Emergency Planning Specialist opening in Washington DC. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about analytics, strategic problem solving and thrives in diagnosing challenges and designing, developing, and maintaining, qualitative and quantitative results.
Interface with senior military/civilian management as necessary to ensure understanding of current challenges, as well as the identification and characterization of requirements for new scalable products.
Possess the technical skills to design, develop, and maintain information, metrics, and reporting environments to support the goals and objectives of our clients.
Brainstorm solutions to present department challenges, present replicable and scalable deliverables to address these challenges and project manage the process to create, launch and maintain the deliverables.
Partner with the Navy in the area of metrics analysis and reporting to gain best practices for application to Surface Ship metrics dashboards.
Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines.Required ExperienceAs a Security & Emergency Planning Specialist, a candidate must have:
Have at least a Secret Clearance
15 years with National industrial security program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DOD/DoN/NAVSEA security rules regulations, practices, directives and instructions.
5 years directly related work experience of DoD/DoN/NAVSEA Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP) and Emergency Management planning plans, processes, policies, rules & regulations, and development and implementation of COOP plans and practices.Job LocationWashington, District of Columbia, United StatesPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular
