Security Manager

We are looking for a Security Manager with excellent leadership, managerial and communication skills, to join our company. The job involves immense responsibility & accountability within the Company. The Security Manager is wholly responsible in managing each and every aspect of all security operations undertaken by the firm.
Likewise, he/she is accountable in ensuring the safety and protection of all clients, personnel, equipment and information of the firm, from physical assault, fraud, espionage, internet hacking, robbery by criminals or terrorists. Critical to the role is the task of making policies for strengthening the security networking structure and the implementation of latest technology and procedures in security and personal protection.
Responsibilities
  • Manages day-to-day operations of the security division to ensure delivery of operational outputs
  • Oversees and manages all aspects of crisis management, emergency planning and business continuity
  • Plans and directs installation of electronic security systems such as closed circuit surveillance, entry controls, burglar alarms, ultrasonic motion detectors, electric eyes, outdoor perimeter and microwave alarms where necessary.
  • Plans and directs security personnel to guarantee safety of individuals and businesses
  • Plans and reviews client travel itinerary, mode of transportation, and accommodations.
  • Provides bulletproof limousine (where applicable) and bodyguards to ensure client protection during trips and outings
  • Investigates crimes committed against clients such as fraud, robbery and patent infringement
  • Ensures confidentiality of sensitive information pertaining to clients of the Firm.
  • Safeguards the physical safety of employees on the job
  • Provides specialist training to all levels of staff within the organization on all matters relating to security
  • Recruits and develops competent, productive and quality security personnel team
  • Analyzes data of internal operations. Reviews incident reports, investigates reasons for losses and recommends changes needed in the Company’s security strategy
  • Plans and implements security strategy for the different divisions of the Company
  • Sees to it that the Company complies with relevant legislation, regulations, code of practice or technical guidance in all matters relating to security
  • Reports criminal information to authorities and if required, testifies in the court of law
  • Develops effective communication and a harmonious working relationship with external organizations such as the police and other security agencies operating in the area
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice or Business Administration
  • A diploma or certified training in network security based operating systems. Preferably have suitable CISCO certifications.
  • Should have 10 + years experience in security related jobs
  • Background in armed forces, law enforcement or paramilitary forces
  • Must be updated with the latest security equipment and resources.

  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Must successfully pass the initial screening on employment, reference, criminal and civil background checks
  • Should be tested free from alcohol or substance abuse
  • Can work long hours
