Director of Security and Facility Security Officer to become a member of the growing dynamic leadership team in Hauppauge NY
Position Summary The Director of Security and Facility Security Officer (FSO) position will manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other security activities This position will be the Executive liaison with the Department Security Services (DSS) DRS Defense Solutions Security organization and other DoD andor Intelligence Community Customers The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for interpreting policies developing and implementing security plans and procedures and monitoring communication associated with our Italian parent company Finmeccanica Located in Hauppauge NY the Director of Security will support a rapidly expanding organization of over 200+ employees Duties and Responsibilities This position will support all Advanced Acoustic Concepts in all security related matters Incumbent will work closely with management to ensure all facility security related issues are handled professionally and expeditiously This includes but is not limited to Manages all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and other security activities within the facility To be more specific this includes document control visitor control personnel security and preparation of DD 254s for classified contracting Additionally the Director of Security will be responsible for the below duties Executive liaison with the Defense Security Services (DSS) and other Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) agencies as required Provides Industrial Security guidance to Human Resources Department Senior Management and advise Corporate Security Officer as required Assists with Industrial security employment prescreening interviews Oversight of the processing incomingoutgoing visit requests and certifications Oversight of the processing new employee security clearances to include tracking within the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) Responsible for interpreting policies develops and implements security plans and procedures Responsible for ensuring compliance for DoD and Proprietary Customers Responsible for all Administrative Inquiries (conducts investigations of noncompliance) Responsible for direct hiring and supervision of the Industrial Security Staff at location Conducts Industrial Security briefings and debriefings COMSEC Custodian Responsible for all Proprietary Programs within facility Ensuring internal compliance for DoD and Proprietary Customers Implementation of the Industrial Security Education Program Implement a method of inspections audits and analyses of security functions to determine performance and cost effectiveness Develop and administer SCI contracts including SCIF accreditations if required Develop contingency plan Prepare and update Key Management Personnel (KMP) Listing Perform other duties as required Secondary Accountabilities Manages all aspects of the FOCI (Proxy) Compliance Program Ensure full compliance with the Electronic Compliance Plan Technology Control Plan and Visitor Control Plan Conduct Administrative Inquiries in support of FOCI compliance as required Provide annual Proxy refresher training as required Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree Combination of college and experience or 10+ years related Industrial Security and management experience preferred Must have 5 + years experience as an FSO or CSSO Must have extensive knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NSIPOM) Must have completed NSA CSSO certification Must be a qualified COMSEC Custodian Proficient at EQIP JPAS Classification ManagementFSO certified Knowledge of Security Information Individual must possess TSSCI with Polygraph Clearance Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge Management SystemsSIMS database Record Management experience preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office products EXCEL Word Outlook PowerPoint Ability to learn various software applications as needed to perform above duties Incumbent must have good interpersonal skill set and team building abilities Physical Requirements (Lifting Walking Bending Stooping Kneeling etc) Advanced Acoustic Concepts LLC is an equal opportunityaffirmative action employer We consider applicants without regard to race color religion creed gender national origin age disability genetic information marital or veteran status or any other category protected by federal state or local law IND
