Job Description: Advantage SCI, LLC a fast growing small business in existence for over 10 years, is seeking a Force Protection Specialist. This is not a guard or access control position. Individual will work as a subject matter expert on a on government force protection assessment team and will be responsible for preparation of a logical case analysis of designated locations which determines potential terrorist targets and target vulnerabilities based on prepared intelligence and knowledge of
terrorist capabilities and methods. The specialist shall also assess how practices comply with existing Force Protection Condition implementation plans. Specialist shall also assess Intelligence Support to the Antiterrorism Program
Summary of duties include:
• Extensive travel to conduct vulnerability assessments of government installations, documenting findings, and providing a full range of solutions
• Must be able to successfully review installation security and force protection plans and documentation and provide feedback based on government standards and best practices
• Prepare logical case analysis of designated locations which determines potential terrorist targets and target vulnerabilities based on prepared intelligence
• Prepare logical case analysis of designated locations based on knowledge of terrorist capabilities and methods.
• Assess how each U.S. installation, facility, and personnel safety and security practices comply with their existing Force Protection Condition implementation plans
• Assess how plans are currently implemented based on "threat level" in place at the time of the assessment.
• Assess Intelligence Support to the Antiterrorism Program through interviews with Intelligence Staff, Antiterrorism Officer, and reviews of intelligence products.
• Assessing the Risk Management (Threat Assessment, Criticality Assessment, Vulnerability Assessment, and Risk Assessment) processes by conducting interviews and reviewing documentation.
• Identify vulnerabilities that can be exploited and developing an illustrative target scenario based upon these vulnerabilities/findings
• Conducting Open Source searches of websites, newspapers, etc. as well as gathering any available imagery of the site through Open Sources
• Identify surveillance locations that could be used to conduct surveillance operations.
• Develop and present threat assessment briefs
• Conduct pre-assessment research of past and current vulnerabilities through the DoD Program of Record for Vulnerability Data
• Present oral and written comprehensive analysis identifying threat data and providing/recommending options to counter or minimize those identified threats.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop overall assessment of the government installation security posture
• Develop PowerPoint presentations that include comprehensive diagrams, pictures, videos to brief assessments or conduct training
• Develop written technical reports of assessments
• Utilize knowledge of risk assessments, government security and force protection regulations, procedures, and policies to assess and develop recommendations
Minimal Requirements:
• U.S. Citizen with valid passport
• Must have a valid certification of completion in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance Support Environment within 30 days prior to hire to be considered for the position
• Current government Top Secret Clearance with current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and must successfully complete security eligibility review to obtain SCI.
• A minimum of 10 years experience in Special Forces or Military Intelligence.
• Experience in targeting and target analysis
• An understanding of the DoD Risk Management program is a plus.
• Required knowledge with DoD AT Directives and Instructions and Programs (DoDI 2000.12, DoDI 2000.16, DoDI 3020.52, and DoDI 6055.17)
• Must be willing to travel regularly
• Must successfully complete training/certification program provided by the government prior to traveling with the assessment team
• Completed AT/FP Level II training
• Must maintain an understanding of all documents required to conduct assessments
• Knowledge of Terrorist Operations and Methodology
• Knowledge of Surveillance and Surveillance detection
• Excellent skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal, communications, and customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Strong analytical and relationship building skills
Strongly Desired:
Background in DOD Security as an installation physical security or AT/FP manager
Knowledge and experience with the DoD Risk Management program
AT/FP level III trained
Working Conditions:
• Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis
• Able to walk long distances without assistance
• Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
• Able to cope with the demands of a high-energy stressful environment
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry for short distances occasionally
