Assistant Facility Security Officer

Summary:
Under the direction of senior facility security officer, this position serves as the security assistant facility security officer responsible for assisting in administering related security programs and procedures.
Provide mid level administrative support by conducting research, preparing statistical reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. Perform all other duties as required.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain day-to-day oversight to ensure all Affiliated Services, and Visitation Procedures are fully implemented and effectively mitigate
- Assist with Visit Authorization Request (VAR) and Visit Contact Report (VCR)
- Establish and maintain liaison with contractors, employees, and managers. Coordinate with government agencies to obtain rulings and interpretations for communication.
- Acts as a primary security point of contact for business line, responding to inquiries, proactively addressing matters and/or coordinating with the senior facility security officer to ensure issues are
addressed appropriately.
- Assist with implementing Standard Practices and Procedures
- Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees and boards of directors.
- Coordinate and direct office services, such as records and budget preparation, personnel.
- File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
- File and prepare audit reports for committees and Government Agency in correlation to the Affiliated Services and Visitation Procedures.
- Process personnel and/or facilities for clearance requirements
- Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software.
- Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
- Issue and track required briefings periodically and annually
- Assist in developing training materials, memos, and/or additional briefings.
- Assist in facility asessments
- Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports in order to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
- Review operating practices and procedures in order to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:

- Military experience preferred.
- Must have 2+ years of experience
- Must be able clear background check
- Must complete Government certification within 1 year from date of hire.
