SECURITY MANAGER

Job Description
The responsibility of the Security Manager is to: (1) administration and operation of security force for trailer yard and satellite facilities, ensuring asset protection and access control; (2) consistent integrity of warehouse management system records and related documentation; (3) maintaining records integrity of all trailer yard locations and trailer movements between trailer yards; (4) ensuring camera system functionality and daily review of surveillance tapes; (5) determination that all buildings are fully secured and alarmed during non-working hours; (6) execution of safety standards, policies, and procedures; and (7) access control for all personnel within assigned facilities.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to


Ensure security of distribution facilities and satellite operations. Control access to all premises. Supervise security force to ensure integrity of all company assets. Control access to facilities and trailer yards. Conduct routine security tours of property. Conduct routine yard checks of trailers on site


Hire and develop effective security staff to provide uninterrupted around-the-clock facilities coverage. Conduct timely performance evaluations and other administrative functions as required to develop and maintain an effective security team. Maintain full complement of temporary and contracted security staff personnel.


Ensure 100% accuracy in trailer check-in, check-out, and driver signature logs. Immediately and effectively address all exceptions. Administer BJ’s Wholesale Club no solicitation policy.


Provide controlled access into distribution center facility for all team-members, visitors, drivers and contractors, ensuring the proper signing in and out of the facility


Ensure safety of all team-members through personal observation of all facilities, and through appropriate follow-up to remove and prevent safety hazards

Job Requirements
High school diploma required College degree or Law enforcement training preferred 3-5 years or more security, military, or law enforcement.
