SCOPE

The incumbent on this position is responsible for safeguarding of guests, colleagues, property and the premise of the Hotel. Directly responsible for team discipline, operational effectiveness and continuity of service of Security Officers, CCTV Controllers, outsource security & lifeguard team members. Required to supervise teams working in a Hotel comprising of 215 guest rooms & 169 condominiums located in the east & west wings of the building and an 80-storey Commercial Tower with 518 apartments, located on a 5.5 hectare resort overlooking Dubai Creek within the Culture Village district of Dubai.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises all Security Officers on duty, including in-house and outsourced personnel.
Acts as reliever for the Assistant Security Manager on days off.
Assume the responsibilities for coordinating and managing the department in absence of the Assistant Security Manager, including assuming of emergency drills.
Coordinates with the Local Police Authorities, such as CID, DTCM Officials, Bomb Squad, as well as Medical Services, Fire Brigade, Civil Defense or any other external emergency support team should the need arise.
Completing & submitting of daily accident/ incident reports to the Assistant Security Manager, in his absence to the Director of Security.
Ensure prompt response to all emergency activations such as fire indications, report of safety hazardous incidents and maintenance demands on the property.

COMPETENCIES
Working for a minimum of two years as Supervisor, either established or acting in the role.
Having a minimum of three years’ experience working in a 5-star hotel environment.
Willingness to undertake flexible shift hours, including nightshifts in accordance with the departmental duty roster.
Proficient use of the English Language, both spoken and written.
Arabic- speaker is a plus.
Advance skills in using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) and generally IT literate.
Familiar with routine tasks & emergency response procedures for fire alarm indications, including fire & bomb threat situations.
Excellent inter-personal skills.
Must be flexible and able to work long hours.
Able to work indoor and outdoor.
