Job Description

Position Title: Security Director
Department/Reports to: Chief Information Officer
Mandatory Clearance: TS/SCI (Active)

Responsibilities:
: Leads the Salient Security department and supervises all facets of corporate industrial security, including DOD (NISPOM) requirements, Agency (SCI) requirements, and operation of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) in the Company.
: Coordinate with corporate officials and government representatives to ensure full understanding of government security requirements and provide timely, appropriate and efficient security support.
: Maintain oversight of = company industrial security compliance initiatives to protect people, property, and information.
: Communicates with representatives of the DoD and other government agencies to ensure compliance with government requirements, manage security-related projects, schedule inspections, investigate incidents, and resolve other issues that arise.
: Manage security operations to ensure day-to-day control of classified documents, facility access and visitor controls, COMSEC, and security education and awareness.
: Investigates possible security violations, ensures timely reporting to appropriate officials, and initiates corrective measures to eliminate security deficiencies.
: Ensures all security initiatives meet government requirements and Company policy.
: Lead the Security Department to achieve high-performance teamwork among all Facility Security Officers and other staff.
: Develop and maintain comprehensive security policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and security guidance.
: Develop and manage security-related initiatives such as SIPRnet access approvals, SCIF accreditation, and similar efforts.
: Serve as Facility Security Officer, Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and COMSEC Custodian as needed.
: Ensure professional day-to-day control of classified documents, COMSEC resources, and facility / visitor access.
: Maintain a proactive security education and awareness initiative addressing all government requirements.
: Manage facility and personal clearances, physical and technical security controls to comply with DoD and agency regulations.
: Develop and maintain comprehensive Emergency Actions Plans to safeguard classified information during emergencies.

Requirements:
: 10 % Travel
: 2 Years as Director or VP – 10 years in Security
: Experienced executive-level leader of Security Departments – influence with corporate executives and managers.
: Successfully managed teams of security professionals who have authority to exercise latitude and independent judgement.
: Superb relationships with Intelligence Community officials – solid relationships with DoD security officials.
: Led projects to achieve accreditation of JWICS, SIPRnet, AIS programs and/or manage SCIF construction / accreditation.
: Solid success working with Intelligence Community to expedite clearances, manage classified programs
: Commendable or Superior evaluations by DSS – comparable recognition by Intelligence Community security officials.
: Strong skills in both verbal and written communication.
: Facility Security Officer (FSO) Certification by Defense Security Service

Desired Skills:
: Able to maintain strict confidentiality of and protect sensitive information.
: Proven mentor abilities to develop and nurture skills of assigned FSOs and Security Specialists.
: Working knowledge of eQIP, JPAS, ACAVS, ENROLL, ISFD.
: Masters Degree preferable.
: COMSEC Custodian
: Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)
: FSO Certification through DSS enroll

Education/Training:
: Bachelors with 16 years
: Masters Degree with 14 years
