Military and Law Enforcement Training Director

Job Description
SOS International Ltd. (SOSi) is seeking a Director of Military and Law Enforcement Training to work in our corporate office in Reston, VA.
Essential Job Duties:
o Exercises principle responsibility for the acquisition and management of both domestic and foreign military and law enforcement training programs / projects / contracts
o Manages business unit Profit & Loss (P&L), ensuring successful business unit performance

o Develops and manages client relationships
o Directs and oversees logistical, fiduciary and contractual matters
o Develops and executes business strategies that lead to business unit growth
o Leads the development of proposals, presentations and white papers
o Manages both domestic and foreign staff
o Directs and oversees the recruitment of U.S. and foreign staff
o Manages both company and client property, both domestically and overseas
o Provides feedback to management regarding possible problem areas and initiates and manages appropriate corrective actions
o Assists in the development of policies and procedures
o Performs other tasks assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements
o Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Economics or related field
o Fifteen (15) years’ combined experience in one or more of the following: U.S. military, federal law enforcement (i.e. FBI, DEA or Immigration and Customs Enforcement), or another comparable U.S. Government agency (i.e. Diplomatic Security Service)
o Appropriate military and/or law enforcement education
o Five (5) years’ experience managing military and/or law enforcement training programs as a U.S. Government employee, military member or private contractor
o Five (5) years’ experience living and working abroad, either as a U.S. Government employee or private contractor
o Five (5) years’ private sector experience in U.S. Government Program Management
o Strong familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
o Ability to organize and prioritize work and multi-task in a high-tempo business and operational environment
o Demonstrated initiative and track record of success in the private sector (i.e. has successfully grown and managed business in the domestic and/or foreign training arena)
o Experience with standard office equipment, hardware and software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
o Strong knowledge of the U.S. military and law enforcement community
o U.S. citizen with at least Secret security clearance and a valid U.S. passport
o Willing to travel abroad and into conflict and post-conflict regions
Additional Information
o Working conditions are normal for an office environment
o Ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
