Job Description
Summary: The Personnel Security Clerk performs tasks such as running reports, filing, recording, maintaining records, copying, posting, and other similar duties. Clerks may be used in various departments and perform similar duties related to the specific function being supported.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, review, and determine the accuracy and completeness of personnel security questionnaires and ancillary documents, such as releases and fingerprint cards.Prepare appropriate files.
Conduct simple database checks and simple data entry using Government IT systems (i.e. ISMS, e-QIP, TECS, JPAS, PIPS, CIS, MS Office spreadsheets and documents).
Identify previous investigations and potential reciprocity.
Process fingerprint cards and run credit reports.
Scan and upload documents; prepare and release files to appropriate destination; collect data for tasking or inquiries.


Note: This process is subject to modification as determined by operational need.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. General personal and communication skills, plus computer skills (keyboarding, MS Office, e-mail). Prior data entry and clerical experience is required. Microsoft Office experience is a plus.
Clearance: Must be able to successfully obtain a DHS suitability clearance

Note: To successfully obtain a suitability clearance you must have good credit and no overdue debt and must pass a criminal background check
