Special Forces Medical Instructor / SME

Instructor shall have the skills required to effectively train host nation Special Forces,
in SOCEUR AOR, in classroom instruction, demonstrate procedures, observe/evaluate student
performance of hands on tasks, and provide oral/written feedback to the student.Responsibilities:
The instructor shall be knowledgeable in Special Forces tasks up to the battalion
level.
The instructor shall possess the skill to ensure detachment medical preparation and
maintains medical equipment and supplies, provides examination and care to detachment members and establishes temporary, fixed and unconventional medical facilities to support operations with emergency, routine, and long term medical care.
Manages detachment, allied, or indigenous patients’, administration, admission and discharge, care,laboratory and pharmacological requirements and the initiation, maintenance and transfer of records.
Orders, stores, catalogs, safeguards and distributes medical/dental supplies,equipment and pharmaceutical..
Operates a combat laboratory and treats emergency and trauma patients in accordance with established surgical principles. Diagnoses and treats various medical/veterinary dermatological, pediatric, infectious and obstetric conditions using appropriate medications, intravenous fluid support and physical measures.
Coordinates veterinary training and support for area requiring animal transportation or use. Develops and provides medical intelligence as required
Must be knowledgeable on the current medical techniques being used by Special Forces in the CENTCOM AOR.

Education / Skills and Requirements:
Must be a graduate of the ANCOC.
Min. Active Security Clearance of SECRET

Preferred Experience / Skills:Former instructor at USAJFKSWC 18D course preferred.
Knowledgeable on Technical Exploitation Operations desired “and/or”
Proficiency in Long Range Marksmanship desired, “and/or”
Graduate of the Special Operations Target Interdiction Course desired, “and/or”
Integration of UAVs into battalion staff planning desired , “and/or”
Establish identity through the use of biometrics
