Job Description


Specialized security unit assigned the responsibility for providing security and protection for FOSTER FARMS family members. Provide security patrol for assigned locations. Protect the assets and employees of FOSTER FARMS. Provide security for FOSTER FARMS board meetings and special functions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Perform vehicle/foot patrol of Foster Farms family residences
Provide security of Foster Farms family and executive meetings
Respond to alarms
Provide patrol protection for assigned Dairies
Qualifications


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Be 21 years of age
Have good interpersonal skills and communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to accept direction and responsibility; multi-task,make decisions under potentially tense conditions
Able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time (up to 12 hours) on a concrete/metal grate floor
Possess a valid California driver’s license and have a clean driving record
Reliable means of communication and transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Law Enforcement, Security or Military
Favorable employment record and attendance history,including showing up to work daily and being on time
Knowledge of security operations, supervisory experience and procedures

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

Maintainingcomposure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and thepublic, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
Must undergo andmeet company standards for background and reference checks, controlledsubstance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to anymandatory licensing requirements and site specific requirements
Seeing, hearing,speaking, and writing clearly in order to communicate with employees andclients, observe and report incidents, and direct others
Frequent sitting,standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and mayinvolve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.Occasional reaching with your hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching,and crawling. Frequent lifting and/ormoving up to ten pounds, occasional lifting and/or moving up to twenty-fivepounds, and additional lifting and/or moving ability might be required
Ability to operate acompany owned vehicle for the performance of duties
Depending upon yourassignment, you may be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work indifferent types of environments depending upon duties
Depending upon yourassignment, you may be required to work under conditions that require the useof protective equipment and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
