Security Consultant – Washington, D.C. (Spanish Speaking)

Mozayix International seeks the services of experienced Security Manager on a short-term basis supporting one of our clients in Washington, DC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Mozayix Security Consultant you will augment our client's in-house security department which is focused on supporting operations and programs in Central and South America. Specifically, the Security Consultant will responsible for the following:
Providing Technical Security Input:
Drafting or updating Security Risk Assessments for new and existing projects.
Reviewing and providing technical security input into the completion of project Emergency Action Plans.
Supporting sales teams with Requests for Proposal (RFP) reviews from the safety and security perspective.
Creating fielding instructions and briefing materials for employees conducting international travel.
Administration, Organization, and Planning:
Organizing digital security-related documents in a clear and organized file structure.
Saving existing and new reports in the newly organized electronic file structure.
Drafting agendas for security department team meetings and stakeholder meetings.
Preparing background materials for meetings with related projects.
Carrying out periodic project or country-related research as requested.
Assisting regional projects with staff fielding processes, phone tracking, and coordination.
Other
Performing other duties and responsibilities as required by the Regional Security Director which might include administrative, management, and technical tasks.

Mandatory Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in a security management role.
Previous experience working with USAID, international NGOs or other development organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in security studies, international relations, or a security related subject.
Eligible to work in the United States
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Fluency in English is required.
Fluency in Spanish is required.
Strong administrative skills, word processing and data collection abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to follow standard practices and procedures, receive general instruction and supervision on work progress, and make significant contribution to end results.

Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting operations in Central and South America preferred.
Master’s degree preferred.
Candidates living in the Washington DC strongly preferred.

Must have strong references. This is a client-facing role that requires the utmost levels of professionalism.
