Facilities Security Officer/Director

Job description
As the Facilities Security Officer, you will perform and manage the overall security program
for the company. Critical skills needed include independent judgment, confidentiality, a
supreme sense of discretion, initiative and sound decision making. You will rely on excellent
organizational skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities within all levels of the

company. Candidate will be responsible for traveling to the other office weekly.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the security training of personnel; physical security of two locations with
various classified environments; information security of IT processes and procedures;
and COMSEC management and control
• Process all personnel security clearances and perform security indoctrinations
• Perform Security debriefs for terminating employees
• Coordinate with government security personnel to ensure that unique physical
requirements for restricted areas are maintained
• Write company security procedures and instructions
• Perform both TS and SCI annual security briefings to personnel
• Interaction with Customer security officers for all security matters
• Write Systems Security Plans and CONOPS
• Process all Personnel Security Investigations via the e-QIP system
• Actively collaborate with the DSS Inspector to facilitate inspections and audits, including
self inspections
• Perform as Information Assurance Manager (IAM)

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Requirements:
• ISSM, Keen attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal skills: articulate, confident and able to express oneself in a concise
and effective manner.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and use discretion in communication
• Comfort in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Previous Intelligence Community experience, both Military and Civilian Agency
• Previous knowledge of:
o JPAS, successful completion of DSS JPAS training
o Special Access Programs and procedures
o JAFAN Directives
o NISPOM (Especially Chapter 8)
o ICDs and customer policies
o DD Forms 254
o DSS training for holding classified information
o ISSM training
