Corporate Security Operations Manager

These positions involve working with sophisticated systems and processes to ensure the safety and security of employees, as well as the information, facilities and systems that support our business worldwide.
What You’ll Do
As a Manager, Security Ops & Serv, Polk County, for John Deere in Des Moines, IA, you will manage security operations, activities and personnel in the Polk County Iowa area, Specifically Des Moines Works (Ankeny); John Deere Financial (Johnston); and John Deere Intelligent Solutions (Urbandale). In addition, you will:
  • Manage a staff of John Deere and contract security personnel and the central communications center which may provide local, regional and national information regarding emergencies and response to all units and employees
  • Conduct compliance and security investigations as required
  • Conduct facility security assessments and make enhancement recommendations to ES&P and work site management
  • Understand the Threat Management process and maintain Workplace Violence Prevention and Awareness program
  • Ensure that unit security policies and practices are aligned with Enterprise Security and Preparedness
  • Be responsible for maintaining liaison relationships with local and state law enforcement authorities
  • Ensure there is proper planning, and technical expertise available for the design, installation, integration, and maintenance of security, and life safety systems
  • Provide strategic planning and capital budget recommendations for security equipment, technology and systems to support all impacted units
  • Ensure that all impacted security systems are updated and operational and that projects are aligned with the ES&P global Security strategy
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Crisis Management Program and Incident Response Team
