Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Perform roving patrol to assigned area(s).
Monitor and maintain law and order within the area of assigned responsibility.
Conduct Security/Resource protection and Controlled Area Checks.
Perform Incident/Complaint and Vehicle Accident Investigations, Reporting and Documentation.
Enforce on base Traffic Control and maintain Traffic Records.
Perform Anti-hijacking inspection.
Perform Airfield/Aircraft Support Operations.
 
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
One or more years of security experience; knowledge of security instructions and installation facilities.
Military or comparable civilian security/law enforcement experience required or related experience and education can be considered in place of specific military, security, or law enforcement experience.
Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, multi-cultural, team-oriented environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Remote overseas assignment, no family accommodations available.
Shift work and extended hours may be required. May be physically demanding at times; including the necessity to lift at least 70 pounds unassisted.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
Valid U.S. passport and U.S. driver’s license required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam.
This position is assigned to Ascension AAF, Ascension Island, South Atlantic Ocean.
