Regional Security Manager

As a Regional Security Manager, you will report into the Head of Regional Security for the Americas. In this role you will be responsible for managing regional background investigations, conducting investigations as directed by the Regional Head of Security, travel security and event security programs for the Americas region to ensure compliance with global policies and minimum requirements. You will also provide leadership for a team and manage relationships between internal clients such as Human Resources, Legal & Compliance, Employee Relations and Event Marketing. You will be monitoring high risk countries within the Americas region to ensure the security and safety of business travelers by generating risk assessments and recommendations for distribution in accordance with local country risks. In addition, for events that are hosted or sponsored by the company, it will be your responsibility to work closely with Event Marketing to conduct risk assessments that will allow for the coordination of appropriate levels of security to ensure the security and safety of event attendees. On an as needed basis, the position may be required to attend high profile events. Additional areas of responsibility will include;


Background Investigations
- Manage staff vetting processes during the on-boarding of internal/external staff within the Americas while ensuring compliance with global vetting requirements.
- Manage vetting vendors to ensure global vetting requirements and performance SLAs are being complied with.
- Participate in ongoing meetings with Human Resources management.
- Generate incident reports in accordance with investigations handled by the department.
- Manage the administration of the department's incident reporting SharePoint database.

Travel Security
- Monitor country specific developments for countries within the Americas region to determine any recommended changes in risk level.
- Develop business traveler risk assessments and recommendations for countries with a higher level of life safety risk within the Americas region.
- Assist in the resolution of crisis situations if they arise to ensure the safety of business travelers.

Event Security
- Review event notification submissions to initiate assessment processes.
- Manage the coordination of security assessments for the protection of bank personnel attending events/conferences.
- Ensure the appropriate security measures are implemented based on event assessment requirements.


General
- Provide support to the Head of Regional Security.
- Daily management of the department's staff vetting team.
- Interaction with senior executives.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
- Generate monthly reporting documents for review/distribution to management personnel.
- Process invoices.
