Experience & Education Required : High School Diploma and two (2) years college or vocational training or military training experience in area of specialty and ten (10) years relevant experience, certification or prior certification as a DoD instructor. Minimum one year experience
as an instructor for UAV’s at an academic instructor school or with a Mobile Training Team (MTT). Required Certifications: Must have credentials certifying qualifications. Provide resume along with copies of individual certificates received that substantiate instructor / operator training qualifications for Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS), including – DD Form 1821 (one each for RQ-11B and RQ-20A , IAW Attachment 4, AR 95-20) and DD Form 2627 (one each for RQ-11B and RQ-20A, IAW Attachment 3, AR 95-20) substantiating operator / instructor experience and current FAA Class II Flight/Medical certification.

Skills Desired: Highly desired to have other SUAS instructor and maintenance qualifications on Group 1 SUAS. Ten (10) of relevant experience or DoD / SUAS instructor experience. experience performing classroom training and hands-on flight training. Experience developing training courseware. Understand current FAA guidance regarding UAS operation in the National Airspace. Certified or experience with OSRVT instruction or training and/or ROVER systems. Knowledgeable on the COLTS logistics tracking system. Previous military deployment experience, classroom or field instruction of groups. Currently (or capable of becoming) medically cleared for worldwide deployment meeting CENTCOM requirements. Current passport. FAA Ground School complete with Certificates.

Job Duties:
Performs instruction at multiple levels depending on student knowledge / capability; provides classroom instruction, hands-on training, and operating SUAS; provides routine and specialized support to students and/or other course attendees during classroom instruction and hands on flight training/ operations/execution; prepares and provides student status statistics and/or feedback for the military and/or government site lead or others as directed; provides information, background experience, and other services necessary for each student to successfully complete each block and phase of training using varying methods and techniques of instruction; applies specialized subject matter knowledge on specific unmanned systems during course instruction; manages, schedules, and tracks instructor proficiency IAW Army regulations; requests, schedules, and coordinates support assets, airspace, and frequencies for training. Manages, schedules, and tracks instructor proficiency IAW AR 95-20 and the web-based application system.


You will also provide Contractor Logistical Support (CLS). As part of your responsibilities, you will regularly perform unit level maintenance on specified UAV’s SUAS in accordance with the appropriate system technical manual. You will also conduct daily pre- and post-flight maintenance and perform necessary repairs to ensure that systems are operational for the next day’s training. You will also perform a post-session inventory of equipment to ensure a complete accounting of all items.

You will train students on the proper use of the field repair kit and keep assigned UAV’s systems mission ready. If components are found to be inoperable or non-repairable at the unit level, you will ship them to the appropriate Forward Repair Activity (FRA) or warehouse as directed for repair/replacement. You will use the SUAS Product Office Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS) software for all maintenance and logistics support functions as part of your SUAS program CLS duties. Applicant will provide BOSH an official copy of their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) from their home state’s Department of Motor Vehicles and will provide a copy of their driver’s license to BOSH.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead training teams for CONUS and OCONUS training events;
Monitor subordinate training personnel to insure that they are providing training in accordance with Maintenance and Operator POIs;
Train student personnel in accordance with Maintenance and Operator POIs;
Prepare reports for training event attendance and success as required;
Ensure that equipment, systems and course materials are available and ready for training events;
Plan transportation and travel to support training events;
Identify potential improvements for current POIs and submit to appropriate customer personnel for review;

• Applicant s will provide BOSH an official copy of their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) from their home state’s Department of Motor Vehicles and pplicant will provide a copy of their driver’s license to BOSH.


Security Clearance: Secret, with ability to obtain Active US Top Secret or higher.
