Responsibilities

Sotera Defense Solutions is seeking a Security Manager for our Herndon, VA. Qualified candidates will hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph. The Security Manager and Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)/Facility Security Officer (FSO) will be responsible for:

Establishing and maintaining a working relationship with DSS and other Government security officials
Using JPAS, Scattered Castles, ACAVS, and other special access sites to track and maintain clearances
Coordinating with customer security representatives to process security clearances
Providing guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork
Reviewing all security paperwork for accuracy, completion and submission via eQIP and other methods
Coordinating periodic reinvestigations with employees
Assisting the recruiting department with verifying clearances for potential candidates
Maintaining visitor control functions and preparing visit authorization letters (VARs)
Developing and providing new employee security briefings, exit interviews, and debriefings
Investigating and reporting security violations and incident reports
Preparing DD254 forms for subcontractors
Managing, protecting and safeguarding all classified materials (receive, control, route, store, mark, package, mail, and destroy all classified materials and their associated records)
Conducting self-inspections in preparation for security audits
Maintaining a working relationship with customer security offices for the processing and maintenance of employee clearances
Preparing written reports of surveys and inspections
Assisting with proposal development, to include the drafting of complete security volumes in compliance with RFP requirements
Maintaining all security documentation, files, and clearance rosters in accordance with government requirements
Preparing necessary paperwork in support of US Government investigations and annual visits
Assisting with the accreditation or re-accreditation of classified IS Systems to include user access, auditing, configuration management, documentation, and training in accordance with government policies and regulations
Qualified candidates will hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Bachelor’s degree with at least seven (7) years of experience
Must have experience in the U.S. Government, DoD, Intelligence or contractor community in security administration
Must have extensive knowledge of building, accrediting, and managing secure facilities across various Government agencies
Must possess practical knowledge of and experience with JPAS , e-QIP, ISFD, ACAVS and e-FCL
Successful completion of FSO/CSSO certifications, including the DSS FSO curriculum for possessing facilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both in person and via telephone
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph
