Responsibilities 
The Manager, Today show Security is a member of the NBCUniversal Global Security Team, and will plan and direct all security for the Today Show regardless of location, including assignment of 3rd party guardforce and other vendor resources as needed. This position will be based out of the the 30 Rockefeller Center complex of offices and will report into the Director, East Coast Security.


Key Responsibilities:
Maintain oversight of all security logistics and physical security operations for their tour Today show and 10 Rock.
Be completely familiar with NBCU security policies and procedures including working knowledge of the Emergency Action plan.
Oversee daily operations of contract security resources for Today Show and 10 Rockefeller Plaza property.
Review the Security schedule daily to ensure proper coverage of all posts including: Main door, Concourse, Scenic dock, Green room, Plaza.
Assign staff to fill vacancies from unscheduled assignments and callouts:
Plans staffing levels and assignments
Records any violation committed by the Security Officers or per diems on the appropriate forms
oDirect NYPD Paid detail as needed during the shift
-Conduct roll calls:
oUpdate daily on current events and instruct on any new procedures, etc.
oInspect for proper appearance and tardiness
oEnsure guidelines and training requirements for security are being adhered to.
oEnsure patrol readiness by regular inspections and drilling
oVisit guards on posts throughout the day
oConduct penetration tests and Drills
-Supervise guardforce as they perform the following duties:
oEnsure appropriate security response to emergencies or unusual occurrences and make internal/external notifications as appropriate
oEnsure 24/7 coverage for 10 Rockefeller Plaza
oEnsure continual monitoring of the Geoffrey System including CCTV, , door malfunctions, camera outages, etc.
oMonitor radio messages to initiate proper response
oMonitor multiple CCTV cameras.
oProperly record and follow-up on all reported security concerns
-Liaise with internal NBCU business units (News, Entertainment, etc.), NBCU operational partners (facilities, fire watch, crisis management, etc.), external agencies (fire department, police, federal authorities), and external business partners (Tishman Speyer) in regards to security needs and requests at The Today show/10 Rockefeller as directed by Security leadership
-Respond to and conduct preliminary investigations, when appropriate, of all security incidents (e.g. Fire/Smoke Alarms, theft, 911 calls).
oPrepare necessary reports and notify Director, East Coast Security of situations requiring his/her immediate attention.
oNotify the Global Response and Intelligence Center
oLog and report incident in Gensuite
-Provide security support for special events and perform VIP security escorts. Be aware of all special guests that are entering the building and conduct escorts as necessary
-Notify Security Senior Leadership, as required
-Be available for all emergencies and critical incidents, including protests and medical emergencies, for the properties, as needed
-Perform any other duties as directed by NBCUniversal security management.
-Work closely with Tishman Security representatives on matters of mutual interest
-Conduct vulnerability tests and drills under the guidance and direction of NBCUniversal management
-Participate as a member of the corporate security team in the development of policy and procedures, reviews of existing policies, designing company-wide security and safety programs, and assisting other team members as necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements 
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in law enforcement or corporate security
Minimum 1 year of experience supervising or managing a security team
Must be proficient in MS Office applications
Proven success in written and oral communication with all levels of an organization

Must be willing and able to work night and weekend hours as needed, and be available 24/7 for urgent matters
Must have unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics 
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
Previous media or entertainment related experience preferred
Experience with threat assessment, investigations, risk management and counterterrorism strongly preferred
Knowledge of NYPD and NYFD procedures and applicable building and government codes preferred
