Description:
International Paper Corporate Security Director leads the strategic global security efforts aimed at protecting employee and property against risk of injury, loss or damage from criminal, hostile or malicious acts.
The Security Director has primary responsibility within International Paper for:
• developing and assisting management with designing and implementing security and asset protection programs and promoting security awareness;
• conducting on-site risk analysis and security assessment in U.S. and foreign locations to identify and evaluate potential security risks to International Paper personnel and assets;
• ensuring that crisis management plans are in place for a variety of potential threats to International Paper personnel and assets, such as bomb threats or active shooters, and, in the event of such a threat, to
develop action plans, organize and direct security assistance, and coordinate response with law enforcement officials;
• conducting internal investigations, under the direction of the Global Ethics & Compliance office, into asset loss, thefts, acts of criminal misconduct, and serious violations of International Paper policy; and
• acting as point of contact with local and national law enforcement agencies in matters of security and asset protection and resolution of internal investigations.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Significant (10+ years) law enforcement investigative experience in complex criminal or civil matters. Experienced investigator, to include financial investigations and due diligence investigations.
• Liaison experience with national, state and local law enforcement,government regulatory agencies and private industrial security. Capable of developing and maintaining good working relationships with state and federal law enforcement agencies.
• Capable of U.S. and international travel as needed.
• Fluency in a second language is desired.
• Specific knowledge of security system technologies to include
knowledge of available security related hardware and software.
• Experience with crisis/emergency response management.
• Effective influencing, presentation and facilitation skills.
