Description:
Join TASC, an Engility Company, and be apart of a team that is impacting National security. We are currently looking for a Sr. Physical Security Specialist. Position duties will include but are not limited to:
Ensure that all NGA and contractor areas (CONUS and OCONUS) have met all DoD and IC standards for processing, handling and storing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Collateral classified information prior to formal accreditation as a SCIF or secure area.
Provide recommendations and guidance for new facilities and those to be renovated.
Analyze complex physical security issues and provide cost-effective recommendations that meet policy requirements.
Perform and conduct site security surveys, including compliance of technology equipment supporting SCIFs and collateral areas (e.g., access control, intrusion detection systems, locks, destruction devices, secure phones, etc.,), prior to SCIF accreditation.
Review and, if required, prepare Fixed Facility Checklist and documentation supporting the accreditation process. Investigate, and provide written impact statements or recommendations when deviations from standards are discovered and the resolution, for all NGA SCIFs and collateral areas both government and contractor CONUS and OCONUS.
Perform staff assistance visits. Provide guidance on implementing security requirements.
Update and maintain appropriate records, accreditation packages, approvals, (e.g., database and hardcopy), Co-Utilization agreements, collateral areas, status remarks, expirations, and inspections (staff assistance visits), etc.
Monitor and manage security operations and provides management with status reports and recommendations for decisions.
Apply experience in supporting security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues.
Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials.
Coordinate with other SIS office and divisions (SISP, SISC, Policy, Classification Management, etc.) Develop solutions, and convey to internal and external customers. Provide agency level technical expertise concerning physical security, industrial security, foreign disclosure/release and information security.
Provide industrial security guidance to contractors using the NISPOM requirements.
Conduct inspections and performs assist visits, as required.
Liaise with members of the DoD, the IC and others officials as required to keep abreast of current issues, as required and insofar as protocol permits.
Provide expertise, as required to the NGA Security Customer Service Support Center/Help Desk, in order to assist internal and external customers in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
Must have an active/current TS/SCI
Requires 11 or more years of experience
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience within a related field
