Physical Security Stockpile Management (PSSM) SME

Shoulder 2 Shoulder Inc, is actively seeking Physical Security Stockpile Management (PSSM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) - to support and lead the Humanitarian Assistance, Disaster Relief and Mine Action (HDM) Program under which support is provided foreign governments, international organizations, and non-governmental organizations.

This position will be based in Ft. Lee, Virginia with extensive travel required overseas.

Overview


The PSSM SME trainers and technical advisors shall be competent in Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) of land-based and underwater unexploded explosive ordnance disposal competencies including detection, identification, on-site evaluation, rendering safe, recovery, and final disposal of unexploded explosive ordnance which may include: the rendering safe and/or disposal of explosive ordnance that has become hazardous by damage or deterioration when the disposal of such explosive ordnance requires techniques, procedures, or equipment that exceed the normal requirements for routine disposal. ERW include land based and underwater land mines, unexploded ordnance (UXO) (mortar rounds, artillery shells, bomblets, rockets, submunitions, rocket motors and fuel, grenades, small-arms ammunition, etc.), and abandoned ammunition storage and cache sites.

The PSSM SME should be able to do the following as it pertains to the subject matter:



- Experience instructing and applying the International Ammunition Technical Guidelines (IATG) and/or any other Standard Operating Procedures (SOP);

- Experience training partner nation and foreign national personnel;

- Experience as part of a response to an uncontrolled explosion;

- The types of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) that you have encountered including whether it was organized or abandoned stockpiles;

- The disposal methods you have implemented in dealing with those munitions including destroying in situ due to safety or through the more complex Render Safe Procedures (RSP);

- Understanding of UN classification and safe storage and transportation of munitions;

- Experience leading UXO/EOD response teams and integration with other resources, including national assets and NGOs;

- Liaison with client, national authority and other relevant representatives;

- Reference to working in remote areas and potentially hostile environments;

- Equipment and machinery you are familiar with using;

Minimum Requirements for the PSSM SME:

1) Extensive experience in EOD, ammunition technician, ordnance handling/inspection, ordnance logistics, and ordnance storage/magazine physical security.

2) Extensive experience in military operations overseas

3) ability to do the above mentioned tasks.

4) DoD Secret Security clearance required


This position is contingent upon a contract award.
