Requirements :
Individual must understand the US Army's Modernaization, transformation, and reset process. Individual must understand the full Force Modernization/Force Development process.The successful candidate must be able to use the Microsoft suite of software products; be able to articulate a position on an issue and defend the position when required. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and four (4) years of force development experience. Individual must be able to work independently when given general directions. The SSO is responsible for cross-functional coordination and issue resolution at the ARSTAF/Secretariat level. Work will be conducted at Fort Richardson. This position will require the person to provide technical interpretations and opinions whenever required or pertinent to complex and regulatory issues involving fielding of equipment.

Position Description :
The position requires coordination of the operational aspects of equipment fielding. Review status of fielding, prepare status reports and provide USARAK liaison support with fielding analysts. Assess issues and draft resolutions to meet productivity, quality and unit-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving with equipment fielders, analysts and unit representatives. Establish forums for reviewing progress and resolve issues related to fieldings and New Equipment Training. Assist with quality control by monitoring the development of the unit equipping database and the install yard database and reconciled differences to ensure accurate and timely information is inputed to the databases. Coordinate install yard projects for units needing equipment installed in tactical wheeled vehicles. Coordinate with property owners for space and support for install yard operations and schedules equipment installers to meet the training schedule of the gaining units. Draft input to planning documents for new unit activations, unit reset and transformation. The position will require the ability to assist with managing the fieldings of equipment to US Army Forces in Alaska. Review shortage lists, equipment authorization documents and property accounting documents to identify equipment shortages for new units and units undergoing reset to prepare for future deployment. Initiate contact with Army Project Managers (PM) to coordinate a plan for filling shortages. In coordination with the gaining unit and the fielding PM, draft a schedule for training soldiers on the new equipment and a schedule for issuing the equipment to the unit's accountable officers. Attend frequent meetings with the various equipment PMs and the unit representatives to facilitate successful fieldings. Track equipment shipments and notifies gaining unit property officers of equipment schedule. Coordinate for de-processing, winterization, or repair as required to insure that equipment is prepared for unit acceptance. Maintain copies of issuing documents. Insure equipment fielding schedules meet the training requirements of the gaining unit. Elevates schedule issues that affect unit training. Monitor the processes of New Equipment Training (NET) and equipment issue to insure that soldiers are properly trained and that equipment is accurately accounted for by the gaining unit. Provide assistance with management oversight of materiel fielding teams. The contract shall monitor fielding actions and provide recommendations for fielding issues resolutions. Provides weekly or more frequent updates on fielding schedules and execution by entering data in Excel documents. This position is for an immediate start.
