Assistant Facility Security Officer

Summary:
The Assistant Facility Security Officer (FSO) assists the FSO in managing the company’s security
program which includes processing security clearances, management of facilities, personnel and ensures the Company’s Security Program is compliant with all government regulations and requirements under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). The Assistant FSO will provide specialized expertise, guidance, advice, training,and support to executive management, operations management, human resources,and employees, as applicable, concerning all aspects of the company’s security policies, procedures and practices. This position requires independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security-related matters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct initial security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations and re-indoctrinations of employees.
Write security plans and procedures (writing and revising security plans, procedures/instructions, fixed facility checklists, SOP and information security plans and procedures as needed).
Prepare and maintain physical security requirements.
Development and implementation of security awareness program.
Defense Security Service (DSS) inspections and audits.
Establish and maintain certification and accreditation of the facilities.
Provide weekly reports, documenting the current status of all open security requests; monthly security training status reports; Quarterly Security Review (QSR).
Establish and maintain accurate personnel security files.
Provide security support to management and Security Support Services for Contracts (for Prime and Subcontracts).
Enforce government and company security policies, as well as provide direction and guidance with regard to these program security directives
Process personnel security clearances, via the Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing e-QIP.
Generate visit certification requests, via the JPAS.
Participate in an active Security Awareness and Education Program.
Provide facility alarm response.
Maintain and develop Company training module.

Job Requirements :
Bachelor Degree in a business or technical field; at least 2 years experience in leadership roles; with equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong working knowledge of clearance processing.
DoD FSO Certification is required.
Experience using and maintaining JPAS records, Access Commander, or other related security software.
U.S. Citizenship and able to qualify for U.S. Government SECRET Security Clearance.
