Escort Guard

Job Summary The Escort Guard is responsible for the safe and timely escort of
designated personnel on assigned post and ensuring equipment, machinery, tools and storage areas are secure and safe.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Provide a security buffer between Foreign Nationals (FN) and the base population while ensuring all FNs/contractors follow established rules and regulations.
  • Conduct periodic spot check/inspections to ensure assets have not been tampered with, abused or lost.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the corporate security policies, WRM SOPs and WIs and ensures compliance with the NISPOM, Government directives and PWS or contractual requirements.
  • Assigned to the Site Management department and responsible for the escort of FNs, non-vetted Host Nation, and contractor personnel.
  • Provide assistance with movement of material control on and off base.
  • Maintain close supervision of FNs operating in and transiting to and from WRM designated areas.
  • Maintain a count and location of FNs, contractors, and vehicles in assigned area of responsibility and relay this information to the unit control center.
  • Provide and brief FNs/Contractor Rules to escorted personnel prior to entering Government controlled sites.
  • Ensure FNs or contractors wear the appropriate badge at ALL times on their upper torso.
  • Maintain sight of all vehicles and personnel when performing escort duties.
  • Log in and out all FNs/contractors and count personnel before and after they perform duties.
  • Maintain regular communication with US/Local Government point of contact while performing escort duties.
  • Maintain positive control over assigned escort badge and ensure possession of all necessary equipment to complete escort duties.
  • Alert the Government Security Forces of suspicious behavior, questions, or actions on part of FNs and detain (hold an individual without restricting movement); if individual decides to leave, maintain constant surveillance until Government security arrives.
  • Provide written reports as required.
  • All duties are performed in accordance with DynCorp ISO 9001 Quality and Safety Standards
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Valid US driver’s license and ability to obtain a host nation driver’s license
  • Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission light vehicles
  • Fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Current DoD Secret security clearance (selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information).
  • Working knowledge of computers including Microsoft office and Outlook.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Government Security Escort certification as required.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a US Passport.
  • Must possess a valid US Drivers and Forklift license
Experience & Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Five (5) or more years’ experience in a related field with three (3) years security experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working with military, DoD, multinational company and/or in middle east environment preferred.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
  • Duties involve work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions and under adverse conditions.
  • Work will require lifting up to 50 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
  • Must be physical fit without impediment or need for medical accommodation; Physical requirements include lifting, climbing, extended sitting or standing, or other physical efforts that are normally required.
  • In addition, visual acuity, hearing and speaking requirements would be considered.
  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
  • Long hours, exposure to potential hazardous conditions.
  • Personnel should be aware of the possible requirement to move on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Travel
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
