The incumbent will conduct emergency medical training, perform program development and provide administrative support.
Key Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Minimum/General Description
The individual in this position must be familiar with the following:
Develop and present EMT related training to medical and non-medical personnel in a formal classroom setting.
Participate in training oversight for various Task Orders awarded under the Department of State Worldwide Protective Services contract. This oversight requires travel throughout the US and abroad. Overseas travel may include areas declared as hostile environments Travel to various training sites will comprose approximately 30 percent of work requirements.
Functional Responsibilities:
Develop and prepares: emergency medical course outlines, training aids, and classroom materials for the Program Office and other medical training as designated by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
Topics include First Responder, emergency first aid, and training associated with medical trauma.
A thorough knowledge of TCCC principles is required.
Presents courses of emergency medical training to classes composed of Regional Security Officers, New Agents, Couriers, SEABEES, Construction Security Guards, Security Engineering Officers, Embassy/Mission Personnel, and other Foreign Service personnel. Class duration may vary from 4- 16 hours in duration.
Work with local military and medical control officer in coordinating the training, logistics, and any equipment needed.
Review department policies, procedures and manuals provide update information as requested.
Ability to read and apply standards contained in various documents such as but not limited to; Statements of Work and specific training requirements
Minimum Education:
A minimum of 3 years experience in providing emergency medical training to both medical and non-medical professionals
Must be a certified and licensed emergency medical technicians or paramedic with EMT field experience
Combat experiences a plus
Certification and/or licensing must be available
Must have instructor experience in the field of emergency medicine or other relevant medical care techniques.
This experience and background may have been gained in any of the following organizations:
U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security Service
U.S. Secret Service
U.S. Federal Agencies, e.g., FBI (Former special agents with protective security background)
U.S. Special Operations Forces
U.S. Military
Commercial executive protection services with military or police background
Law enforcement experience
U.S. Military Police/Criminal Investigation Division;
Local and state law enforcement agencies, with Emergency Services Unit, special Weapons, and Tactical training
Experience may be gained in the employ of any national, State/Provincial, Local or commercial entities providing high threat protective services
