Public Safety Specialist I (7:00 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. Monday-Friday)
The Public Safety Department in the Division of Administration at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is seeking qualified candidates for Public Safety Specialist to perform proactive foot patrol on campus to protect Rensselaer and campus community property and facilities and to perform personal safety escorts (via motor vehicle and foot) to members of the Campus Community.

The incumbent will perform watch and guard functions, maintain preventive and observational patrol, and observe, monitor, and report suspicious activity. The PSS I may be assigned to stationary patrols within buildings or outdoor locations and must be available for flexible shift scheduling.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, valid US driver's license and a valid NYS Security Guard License, or be eligible to be licensed.
