Job Description
ABSc is seeking Law Enforcement Professionals to serve on a unique team supporting the
Joint IED Defeat Organization in Northern Virginia, assisting the Counter IED
Operations/Intelligence Integration Center (COIC) with Counter-IED (C-IED)
Attack the Network (AtN) operations. The Law Enforcement officer will provide
liaison between the COIC and various Law Enforcement organizations on matters
of mutual interest, specifically the global pursuit of Violent Extremist
Organizations (VEOs) that use the IED as a strategic weapon. To meet this
objective, the Law Enforcement Professional will tailor and apply law
enforcement techniques and insights to military intelligence to develop case
files on individual threat actors that are identified by deployed law
enforcement specialists in theater. Additionally, the Law Enforcement
Professional will provide advice and mentorship to the COIC staff and
leadership on how to best leverage the Law Enforcement community in support of
C-IED AtN operations conducted outside of defined combat zones.
The law enforcement officer will:
- develop network case diagrams and case files and conduct biometric analysis
regarding individual criminal behavior based on information provided by
deployed law enforcement specialists.
- Identify emerging criminal trends and methods of operation in order to detect
and interdict networks associated with the sourcing, production, delivery and
emplacement of IEDs.
- Compile, build and manage detainee related intelligence information for exploitation
during detainee interrogations in support of Requests for Support from the
Theater.
Experience and Education:
These positions require broadly gauged experts that have a minimum of 15 years
civilian law enforcement experience with a large metropolitan police force or
federal law enforcement agency and have practical experience and expertise in
criminal investigations, undercover work, counter-drug operations, liaison work
with foreign law enforcement entities, experience with counter-terrorism
investigations, and/or experience investigating and prosecuting criminal gangs.
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years investigative experience in a large civilian police
department or federal law enforcement agency.
- This position requires a TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility clearance. (Resume
must show that proposed employee currently holds a TS clearance with previous
access to SCI level of information.)
Highly Desired:
- Demonstrated expertise in criminal network (gang/cartel) development and
targeting, warrant based operations in a military environment, and criminal
prosecution in an inter-agency/international environment.
-Military experience is highly desired but does not substitute for the minimum
civilian law enforcement or federal law enforcement experience required for
this position.
- Bachelor’s degree in a law enforcement related discipline.
