Courseware Developer/Instructor-SME (Cobra Ball/Combat Sent EWO)

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in aviation or related field.

Instructor Training and Experience: Previous experience within last seven years as an electronic warfare officer/combat systems officer on any RC-135 model or comparable aircraft or qualified as a contract instructor in an aircraft listed above within the preceding two years. Previous flight instructor experience in any RC-135 model or comparable aircraft or qualified as a contract instructor in an aircraft listed above within the preceding two years. Must complete a formal Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI) course within six months after start of training as an instructor. Completion of the ACC Classroom Instructor Course or MAJCOM equivalent satisfies the CRI requirement.

Educational Technologist Training and Experience: Academic study in related fields and experience in related disciplines may be considered by the government for individuals not meeting all requirements.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in curriculum development including formative evaluation, and previous experience in design and production of ISD materials. Minimum 15 credit hours of study with at least 3 hours of education credits in any of the following areas: Instructional Methodology, Tests and Measurements, Educational Psychology, Curriculum Development, and Learning Theory. The Government may consider experience as a substitute for the educational requirements.

Desired Qualifications: More than 1,000 flying hours in aircraft listed above. Previous flight evaluator experience in any RC-135 model or comparable aircraft within the preceding two years. Previous experience as an academic platform instructor or as training device (simulator) instructor. Qualified in aircraft listed above within the preceding four years

General Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills; handle multiple tasks; flexible in work assignments; and work with little to no supervision.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain/maintain a TOP Secret clearance with SCI access.

Duties & Responsibilities: 
Instruct and measures training progress of student Electronic Warfare Officers (EWO) who train in the established aircrew training curriculum.
Conducts briefings and debriefings and counsels with student Electronic Warfare Officers (EWO) to develop and maintain a high level of proficiency.
Provides inputs for courseware corrections and modifications and to updates for training policies and procedures.
Maintains a high level of subject knowledge, capability and expertise.
Provides subject matter expertise for courseware development, modification and correction as well as updating training policies and procedures.
Conducts academics, aircrew training device [simulator, part task trainers (PTT)] instruction and other ground training to student Navigator crew members in operating procedures, including diagnosis and remediation of student problems.
Assist in projects and development work as assigned.
Performs administrative duties relative to training such as recordkeeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, training
development and maintenance of training programs.
Serves as aircraft type Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for curriculum development, students and other personnel as required.
Analyze, design, develop, and maintain courseware and related materials using the current, updated Air Force model of ISD.
Develop training products through a process that includes review and research of government furnished manuals and references, SME interviews, evaluation of training simulators and training devices, and other resources.
Develop, coordinate, and produce a definitive Courseware Delivery Schedule (CDS) that shall identify the milestones and time phasing of CWD that will annually.
Prepare an annual work plan that forecasts production on a monthly basis to include Reviews, Revisions and New courseware efforts
Schedule and accomplish formative and summative evaluation of lessons.
Provide frequent feedback to staff members and leadership regarding advances in instructional design and technology.
Analyze test items and cumulative data for trends.
Pursue the use of current technology, teaching tools, and techniques that are compatible with government media systems.
Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable regulations, instructions, procedures, Technical Orders, and other publications listed in the Performance Work Statement (Contract).
Review and/or revise courseware materials on scheduled, out-of-cycle, and as urgent requirements demand as stated in the PWS.
Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
