Job Summary:
NEK Instructors will conduct course instruction to support SERE training at FAFB and associated SERE School Remote Training Sites located in Washington, and includes instruction of Survival and Evasion Academics, Field Training, Resistance Training Academics, Resistance Training Laboratory, Evasion and Escape Training, and administrative support services. The primary courses currently taught under this contract are S-V80-A and S-V88-AL. Instructors are also needed to provide instruction and courseware/curriculum development of all other courses offered or managed by the USAF SERE School (336 TRG, FAFB WA).
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Instructor and facilitator responsible for executing SERE instruction in classroom, field and simulated environments.
Evaluate students’ duty performance of and certify their competence.
Evaluate SERE and Code of Conduct curricula, programs, and training by using evaluation methods and performing analysis of training effectiveness to ensure it is current and incorporates latest Distributive Learning Technology Project (DTTP) principles.
Attend conferences or working groups, meetings, operate simulations/trainers, gather lessons learned and conduct field research in support of training.
Some travel required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
At FAFB, instructor workforce qualifications are as follows; a minimum of 50% of the total SERE instructor workforce are to be graduates of USAF Course S-V81-A, SERE Specialist Technical Training. The remaining 50% of the FAFB contractor instructor workforce shall be graduates of a DoD Level-C Code of Conduct course and must have a minimum of 2 years of experience instructing at a Level-C Code of Conduct course or suitable related experience. Experience shall include classroom instruction and role-playing in resistance training scenarios. (Suitable related experience means candidates with non-USAF SERE Instructor training courses are still eligible, provided those courses meet AETC instructional requirements
and are approved by AETC/A3V (AETCI36-2604, Para 2.2.2).
Current SECRET Security Clearance
Must pass a Government approved Human-Factors (HF) Evaluation administered by the assigned Resistance Training (RT) Qualified SERE psychologist
Possess and maintain physical fitness & conditioning necessary to deliver this training
Possess high personal standards of technical knowledge & professional competence in delivering course training material
Possess a familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the U.S. Air Force, military rank/grade structure; knowledge of Air Force and military terminology
Possess a knowledge of basic and advanced training techniques, and of computer technology applications as they apply to instructional delivery
Knowledge of DoD procedures for the handling of classified material, DoD SERE and Personnel Recovery publications supporting Code of Conduct training, and the capability to access those publications
