is seeking an S-V70-A Training Manager (TM) to conduct training
manager/administrative support services in support of course S-V70-A,
SSS at Lackland AFB, Texas (LAFB). The SSS training manager and
administrative support duties also include providing full spectrum
resistance training qualified instructor support to course S-V88-AL,
Evasion Conduct After Capture (ECAC). The TM ensures all instructors
are certified to instruct and execute their roles IAW the PWS and the
latest AETC and JPRA approved curriculum and best practices, coordinates
and monitors execution of individual instructor training and
certification as well as sustainment training, executes respective team
Training Cell (TC), monitors, assists and mentors instructors, helps
instructors with production of multi-media training aids, helps maintain
training logs, instructor evaluations, and may assist with not taking
guides, student handouts, etc. and supports pre-class coordination and
planning and post-class debriefs and after action reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Validates training syllabi and instructor guides for academic, operational SERE and ECAC training (see Additional Documents, PWS Paragraph 8 for syllabi).
- Generates multimedia training aids and presentations for instructors.
- Tracks, maintains, and updates training logs, instructor evaluations, and student handouts, note taking guides, course critiques and phase critiques.
- Performs pre-trip coordination and planning, post-trip debriefs and after action reports.
- Performs pre-class coordination and planning, post-class debriefs and after action reports.
- Performs tasks in logistics, plans, programs and administration in support of course instruction requirements.
- Accompanies personnel to the field training locations, Resistance Training, and EL’s.
- Must be qualified to instruct in the courses they are responsible for supporting, namely to provide full spectrum resistance training qualified instructor support to course S-V88-AL, ECAC.
- Must support training over weekends and holidays during any course iteration. Lunch times and length shall vary depending upon course iteration progress and other student training requirements. Programmed periods of instruction may not always allow for scheduled meal breaks.
- Works Mondays thru Friday; may also provide RT instructor support to S-V88-AL course.
Minimum Job Requirements: INIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Each SERE instructor & TM:
- Shall pass a Government approved Human-Factors (HF) Evaluation administered by the assigned Resistance Training (RT) Qualified SERE psychologist and must pass ongoing HF Evaluations that will occur at least annually and will include a clinical interview, review of performance records, and collateral contacts.
- Shall pass a complete physical exam prior to working on the contract and maintain those standards throughout the contract. The Government and/or FSCX reserve the right to require contractor employees to be examined for physical fitness at any time during the term of the contract. A physician or physician’s assistant must sign the physical fitness examinations.
- Will receive an annual influenza vaccination during the first quarter of each fiscal year during the term of this contract.
- Is subject to drug screening on a random basis (but not less than annually) during the term of the contract.
- Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet SECRET clearance level eligibility requirements for access to classified information..
- Shall safeguard all government property, including controlled forms, provided for contractor use.
- At the close of each work period, each SERE employee will secure the government training equipment, ground aerospace vehicles, facilities, support equipment, and other valuable materials for which they are assigned and/or responsible.
- Shall be a graduate of an approved DoD SERE Level “C” High Risk Course, e.g. Wartime or Peacetime. (The course may be an equivalent Army, Air Force or Navy SERE course.)
- Must have completed an Instructor Training Course listed in the Air Education and Training Command Instruction (AETCI) 36-2604 Section 2.2. and have two years of instructor experience.
- Shall complete all requirements in the FSCX Training and Certification Plan.
- Shall complete all Government required additional training such as Operational Security (OPSEC), Antiterrorism (AT), Information Security, etc.
- Will not operate any special use vehicle unless specifically trained IAW AFI 24-301 and authorized to do so by the Government.
- Shall wear the required uniform and maintain it and their assigned equipment in a satisfactory condition. Each SERE instructor is financially responsible for loss, misuse, theft, and/or damage other than normal wear and tear in the performance of assigned duties.
- Shall provide their own rations during Field Training evolutions.
- Shall obtain a pass for their privately owned vehicles at, Visitor Reception Center, and provide proof of following: (1) Liability Insurance; (2) Current License Plates; (3) Current State Inspection Sticker (if required); (4) Valid State Driver License; and (5) A phone number for sponsor on base.
- The nature of SERE training requires high standards of mental and physical fitness. SERE instructors will participate in SERE training events in rough terrain that will require the ability to lift/carry 45 pounds, walk up multiple flights of stairs, walk up to six (6) miles per day with a rucksack, and provide up to eight (8) consecutive hours of instruction.
- Each SERE instructor must be able to perform in a variety of environmental conditions including: indoor; outdoor; cold; heat; rain; snow; and, if necessary, extreme inclement weather.
