As a member of the Cubic Global Defense Team - Republic of Georgia, selectee is an expert in US Army Combat Training Center(s) as an energetic military training specialist advising, assisting, teaching and coaching Georgian military counter parts in all functions related to running a CTC as part of Georgia’s Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC). The Georgian CTC initially will focus on company and battalion collective training and in the future grow to brigade level training. Additionally, the CTC will support Mission Ready Exercises for units deploying for worldwide missions. The CTC SME will support the development of the JTEC including assistance in scenario development; supporting mission essential task training; training/conduct of After Action Reviews (AARs); creation of a functional Opposing Force (OPFOR) capability; development of competent Observer/Coach-Trainers (O/C-Ts); as well as facility development. The CTC SME will advise and assist in establishing a Live-Virtual-Constructive – Gaming (LVCG) training environment. The overall outcome is the creation of an integrated training environment (ITE) resulting in a CTC capability allowing the conduct of efficient and effective training that develops mission-ready soldiers, leaders and units. Since development of the CTC is ongoing, precise Cubic requirements are still being evolving for this multi-year project. Accordingly, an additional requirement for this SME position will likely be to provide support – AAR, OPFOR, O/C-T and general training audience mentorship – for constructive simulation exercises conducted at the Georgian Simulation Training Center (GSTC). As the CTC develops, GSTC support will be assimilated into the overall support of capabilities provided to rotating units.

Advise and assist in building a CTC supporting live training in a ITE at the Georgian CTC as part of JTEC.
Work closely with Georgian JTEC leadership in all aspects of planning, preparing, executing and assessing LVCG CTC training. Specifically, advise and assist JTEC leaders and staff on leading and management of Observer/Controllers-Trainers, OPFOR trainers, Plans and Exercise Control, and Operations Staff with exercise planning, scenario development, training support, exercise execution, After Action Reviews (AAR), Take Home Packages, lessons learned programs, and trends documents. Advise and assist the development organizational and logistical structure capability supporting JTEC. (Admin, Planning, Training, Operations, Support).
Know how to plan, prepare, execute, and assess exercises (constructive computer assisted events, rotations, training exercises, live fire exercises) from the perspective of a US Army CTC. Have practical understanding in exercise design and able to describe the process leading Georgia to grow their capability to provide exercises that are based on exercise objectives, training objectives and a given operational environment.
Coach, teach, and mentor the GAF leaders to find greater capacity to improve unit training experience thru the development, management, implementation of the five CTC pillars. Where resources are short help develop innovative solutions.
Advise and assist Georgian senior and junior leaders, staff, noncommissioned officers, and Soldiers to ensure deploying units abroad are tactically and technically proficient.
Develop trust and enduring relationships with Georgian counterparts that always focus not only the best solution but that the solution is developed by counterparts, even though it may not be the solution recommended. The key to success is leadership and staff believes solutions and initiatives are theirs. Owning their solutions means success and institutionalizes the focus item being coached, taught, mentored or trained thereby building training capability and capacity.
Minimum Job Requirements.
This position requires personal and professional capabilities developed through experiences while serving a minimum of two years at US "dirt" CTCs. Prefer a retired LTC with battalion command experience and extensive tactical level assignments at the brigade and battalion level in US Armed Forces. Former O/C-T, OPFOR or CTC staff member is highly desired.
A working knowledge of using training technologies to achieve an integrated training environment.
Knowledge of US/NATO military doctrine and operational concepts to ensure training and operations accurately reflect tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Experience in preparing and conducting instruction and briefings for both large and small groups.
Ability to work off site at various locations without assistance and within site leader's intent.
Able to walk on rough terrain over long distances day or night and physically able and willing to lift heavy weight.
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Secret Level Clearance for access to classified information.
