PUMA UAS Operator/Instructor

Job Description
Responsible for ensuring all equipment functions properly and is maintained in accordance with OEM guidelines. Must be familiar with all facets of the operation and be able to operate, talk to, and work in support of mission requirements.

Essential Functions:
•Assist with new equipment training on Puma UAS
•Perform preflight checklists and participate in mission briefings.
•Review Airspace requirements and operate systems safely and within requirements of applicable flight regulations as required by the OEM, Military, Unit and specific location requirements.
•Operates UAS and monitors UAS functional systems
•Responds to emergency procedures as required.
•Operates various sensor systems as required by the mission.
•Participates in post mission debriefing. Completes appropriate forms and prepares for following days operations.
•Utilizes checklist and appropriate operations manuals to operate the UAV safely
•Assists with various maintenance actions as required by the Site Manager.
•Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience:
•Must have previous qualification on the Puma UAS.
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Must be able to pass FAA Ground School.
•Previous deployment experience with Puma.
•FAA Class II Flight Physical required
•Secret Clearance required.

Preferred qualifications include:
•Prior Pilot or higher (Commercial/ Instrument/ CFI/ CFII)
•Prior military service, Mission Commander experience, knowledge of civilian and military airspace, Imagery Analyst Intelligence school
•Advanced proficiency with MS Office required.
•Effective oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization.
•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion.
•Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process.
