FPS Protective Service Officer

Overview:
G4S GS (formerly Wackenhut Services Inc.), a national security firm, is recruiting for Armed Security Officers in support of our Federal Protective Services in the state of Maryland.

Qualifications:
Armed Security Officer Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally eligible to work in the United States.
Additionally, must meet at least one (1) or any combination of the following experience/education levels listed below:

Three (3) years of security experience within past five years, or…
Three (3) years of military experience, or…
Successful completion of a state certified Law Enforcement Education and Training or Police Officers’ standard training course

Additional Requirements:

Proficiency in English (Written or Spoken)
Pass Urine Drug Screening and show proof of negative results
State and local law enforcement officers must provide training certificate and proof of current employment
Experience with Entry/Exit Access
Comfortable with Roving Patrol up to 12 hours per day across long distances.
Familiarity with securing facilities and/or vehicles at a fixed location.
Physically capable of standing a 12-hour post
Firearms training and firearms qualifications, and company certifications Meet state certifications Must pass MRPT suitability requirements.
