Requirements:
‘ 2 or more years’ experience as a Security Officer Communication Specialist in a corporate, law enforcement or military environment.
‘ High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
‘ CPR certification
‘ Guard Card desired
‘ Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business policies, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
‘ Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
‘ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, clients, customers and the general public.
‘ Solid basic math skills.
‘ Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
‘ Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to type 30-40 words per minute
Ability to monitor fire, access control, burglar alarm and CCTV systems while multi-tasking
Ability to understand department procedures to ensure that all resources are utilized during normal and emergency situations
Ability to provide great customer service to internal and external customers
Conduct preliminary investigations which includes the reviewing of the CCTV system applications
Prepare impact statements that allow accurate communications through the Chain of Command

The Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
‘ Protect property against fire, theft and damage.
‘ Basic computer knowledge ‘ (Word and Excel)
‘ Detailed incident report writing.
‘ Good Verbal and written communication skills.
‘ Enforce security regulations and restrictions relative to company operations
‘ Respond to all emergencies and take appropriate action until emergency services arrives.
‘ Perform hourly rounds of the facility as needed
‘ Monitor all personnel entering and exiting Mattel property
‘ Manage and report security/safety incidents to management to ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
‘ Shift Rotation ‘ Requires Security Specialist to rotate shifts every (4months).
