Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Regional Security Advisor located in Dhaka, Bangladesh through May 22, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Position Details: Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
* Assists the Asia Pacific Regional Manager in providing strategic counsel and guidance to management on all security matters related to all Chevron entities within the Asia-Pacific region but with particular reference to operations in Thailand, Bangladesh, Myanmar, China, Vietnam and Cambodia
* Undertakes investigations into alleged fraud, theft, conflicts of interest and other malfeasance
* Conducts ongoing risk and vulnerability assessments, Security Management Reviews and implements security measures and practices
* Conducts Global Security (Asia-Pacific) programs and initiatives
* Assists in the development of security awareness programs and conduct security briefings and presentations as required
* Develops information regarding militant rebel groups or criminal syndicates and formulates strategic and tactical plans to protect Chevron employees, its operation and assets
* Establishes and maintains liaison with senior law enforcement officials, the military and other host government officials, as well as representatives of U.S. and other diplomatic missions to host governments
* Assists in the development and implementation of security policies, guidelines, and standardized practices for staff and contract security personnel
* Assists in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and contingency plans to mitigate risks to people and other company assets associated with natural disasters, civil unrest, military coups, kidnapping, extortion, and other serious criminal acts
* Assists in the establishment and administration of training and development programs for security staff and contract security personnel, as required
* Undertakes executive protection assignments as directed by the Regional Manager (Asia-Pacific)
Required Qualifications:
* 10 years service in a law enforcement agency or military agency as a commissioned officer or equivalent, and with 3 years in a corporate security or security services provider management position
* Experience in the planning, investigation and prosecution of major fraud cases
* Experience in physical security, security planning, emergency management, general investigations and executive protection
* Experience in working overseas, particularly in South East Asia and the Indian subcontinent
* Fluent in both spoken and written English
Relocation Options:
Relocation will be considered within Chevron parameters. First assignment will be in Dhaka, Bangladesh for 12 to 24 months.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will be considered.
