Requirements/Qualifications (Education): Required:
• BA/BS degree in business, criminal justice or equivalent combination of education and security management related experience.
•Demonstrated experience in the Security/Law Enforcement Global Community.

•Demonstrated senior security program management experience in a global multinational organization with a minimum of 10 years of industrial security experience, combined with a minimum of 7 years of senior supervisory and management experience.
•Demonstrated ability to influence and operate effectively across matrixed organizational boundaries and form successful partnerships.
•Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
•High ethics with demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
•Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in stressful situations.
•Experienced and proficient using computer applications to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
•Demonstrated experience in financial and budgetary management.
•Strong ability to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in the written and verbal format.
•Extensive experience in either law enforcement, military o other security programs to support knowledge and competencies described above

DESIRED:
•Demonstrated Quality Management Systems (ISO) knowledge and application.
•Demonstrated skills in supplier/contract partner management.
•Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
•Knowledge/experience with the Incident Command Process.
•Executive Protection Training Certification.
•Knowledge and experience in protecting intellectual property assets through the deployment of technology and procedural safeguards.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Global Security Manager (GSM) is responsible for the development and deployment of LSI’s global security strategy and is ultimately responsible for the success of LSI’s global security program at all locations around the world. Key elements of the global security strategy include the overall direction of physical security operations, the protection of LSI physical and intellectual property assets, management of security systems and technology, as well as the management of LSI’s security service providers.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
•Develops & manages protection goals & objectives consistent with the corporate strategic plan.
•Ensures appropriate security operations response to issues requiring reactive and proactive program development (i.e. employee awareness program education, local incident crisis, employee misconduct investigations, risk assessments/security surveys, etc.).
•Partners closely with HR, Legal, Property management, Finance, IT and other key business partners to ensure corporate objectives requiring security service support are met.
•Manages the development and implementation of the global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures.
•Maintains relationships with local, state, federal and international law enforcement as well as other government related agencies.
•Establishes and manages targets and budgets for the security function.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:
•The GSM scope of responsibility is global in nature, with regionally deployed resources reporting directly to, or matrixed to this position. The GSM has primary responsibility for service delivery and incident response for regions with no assigned security staff.

•Decision impact is high and degree of direct supervision is minimal. This is a senior management position with a high degree of responsibility and strategic impact on the business function. This position is located in Milpitas and reports directly to the Director of Global Procurement, Property Management and Security, and functions under limited supervision.

PROCESS AND METHODOLOGY USED TO PERFORM JOB:
•This position develops security strategy, and drives teams and resources to successful performance. Conducts analysis of business needs and identifies programs and services required to meet those needs. The successful candidate will provide education and professional development guidance to managers, clients, and other resources as required.
