Protective Force SME

Summary:
The individual will provide subject matter support to the Security Training department of the National Training Center. SME areas of expertise include but are not limited to Protective Force Operations, Protective Force Training, development of training utilizing a systematic approach to training, and a expert knowledge of Enterprise Mission Essential Task Lists (EMETL) The SME will provide technical input and leadership to the update and development of course materials for EMTELS.

Support NTC staff in the development, data gathering, and data analysis of EMTEL.
Support NTC staff in the vetting of curriculum and courses for EMETL.
Support NTC staff in the design of EMTEL training materials.
Support NTC staff in the development of task orders for EMTEL development of training materials.
Function in the role of the NTC-Chenega subject matter expert for EMTEL courses.
Interface, collaborate, and develop consensus positions with federal and site contractor subject matter experts.


Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Current working-level knowledge in his/her defined area of expertise.
Comprehensive knowledge of the EMETL program.
Recognized as an expert by peers and professional organizations.
5 years line management experience supporting DOE Security Training
A current L or Q security clearance.
Computer Skills
Advanced computer skills in electronic file management, MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
