Severstal North America, one of the largest steelmakers in the United States specializing in the next generation of high quality, flat-rolled, carbon steel products, has a challenging and exciting opportunity for a Security Director in Dearborn, Michigan.We serve customers in more than 20 markets including the
automotive, appliance, construction, container, pipe and tubing, distribution, converter and service center industries.
Our modernized, fully integrated operations and corporate headquarters are located in Dearborn, Michigan. In addition, a new, state-of-the-art electric arc furnace operation in Columbus, Mississippi, serves the growing demand for steel in the southeastern United States. Severstal North America also operates several joint ventures for value-added coated products and coke making. Responsibilities:
Reports to the CEO of Severstal North America and advisor to CEO, OAO Severstal located in Moscow, Russia
Direct supervision of security personnel in both the Dearborn, Michigan, and Columbus, Mississippi facilities
Assess and ensure the effectiveness of the security control systems including loss and fraud
Develop and implement policies and procedures when necessary
Assure that Company personnel and property are protected against a variety of risks and vulnerabilities
Conduct investigations and prepare formal, written documentation of investigative findings
Maintain professional liaison with law enforcement agencies
Ensure timely corrective action in response to reported security incidents
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Forensics or related field, Master’s preferred
Knowledge of metallurgical industry processes preferred
Must possess at least 10 years of forensic, security or law enforcement service
Must possess at least 5 years of investigative experience, including investigation of white collar crime
Willingness to travel
