Job Description
Provide guidance, oversight and ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manuals (NISPOM) and DoD Directives.
Administers and coordinates the DoD security program and other related security activities for an office or group to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies and procedures.
Initiate, review, and submit personnel security clearance applications via the e-QIP program or SF-86 submissions and assists employees in acquiring personnel security clearance when required.
Prepare and submit Visits Requests and Visit Authorization Letters to include updates to JPAS submissions and/or SF86′s.
Perform regular audits of the Classified Document Control System and provides monthly security reports to management
Ensure the integrity of the classified accountability processes.
Provides guidance to managers and employees regarding security regulations and procedures.
Develops and implements security procedures in coordination with government agencies and company management
Supervises subcontracted security personnel
Works with engineering and software development teams on implementation of secure communications (ex. SIPRNET) and associated network infrastructure
Leads Facilities/SCIF accreditation with DSS or other related government organization
Conducts security briefings.
Develops and conducts security-related training programs. Maintains liaison with outside agencies.
Enters security information into automated system and develops related reports as need.
Participates in other security and special projects as required and perform other back-up duties as required.
Special Requirements
Must presently hold TS-SBI clearance or higher.
DSS Certificate of Training in FSO Program Management required.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of Operations Security (OPSEC) practices and the demonstrated ability to develop and manage all aspects of contract security classification specifications is required.
Thorough knowledge of US Government classified communications infrastructure
Must possess strong knowledge of NISPOM procedures, JPAS, and e-QIP programs.
Familiarity with DoD security systems software and applications.
Must be proactive and self-motivated
Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and to multi-task on multiple projects.
Excellent written and oral communication skills along with excellent briefing and presentation skills are required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is required.
Previous work experience in a technical/scientific industry or in a research and development industry preferred but not required.
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the past five years is required.
This position is restricted to U.S. citizens and may require travel on an infrequent basis.
Bachelor’s degree with minimum of ten years directly relevant experience with the duties and responsibilities as outlined. Fourteen years equivalent professional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
