Piton Science & Technology is seeking instructors for the training conducted at the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE), Counter Explosives Hazards Center (CEHC) at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Instructors will work on a part time basis. The frequency of the work will depend on course scheduling and the combination of the following courses the instructor is qualified to instruct: Intermediate Search Course (ISC), Engineer Company Intelligence Support Team (E-CoIST), Area Clearance Course (ACC), Route Reconnaissance Clearance Course-Sapper (R2C2-S), Counter Explosive Hazards Specialty (CEH-S), and Counter Explosive Hazard Planners (CEHP). The mapping of course qualifications to instructor skills and experiences will be determined during an interactive procedure during the application process. Applicants at the conclusion of the qualification mapping procedure will be required to submit certificates and updated resumes that reflect the list of courses the individual is qualified to instruct.
It is not worthwhile to apply if the following two requirements are not satisfied because these experiences are required for each of the courses instructed at the CEHC.
- Knowledge of current military operational environments and explosive hazards threats in those environments by deployment in either OIF or OEF, or previous military experience in either engineering or explosive ordnance disposal MOS specialties.
- Sergeants Major Academy Graduate, or Drill Sergeant Qualification, or Instructor Training Course certificate, or equivalent instructor certification.
Various combinations of the following skills are required for different courses that are instructed at the CEHC. It is possible to be qualified to instruct some of the courses even some all of the following skills are not satisfied.
- One (1) year experience training soldiers on doctrine and non-doctrinal military counter-explosive hazards operational procedures.
Possess knowledge of current military operational environments and explosive hazards threats in those environments by deployment in either OIF or OEF, or previous military experience in either engineering or explosive ordnance disposal MOS specialties.
- Six (6) months experience in military search techniques (the management and application of systematic procedures and appropriate detection equipment to locate specified targets) applied to person, vehicle, area, route, occupied/unoccupied building, and venue search.
- Minimum of a Secret security clearance or the ability to attain a Secret clearance
- Battle Staff Course certification or military intelligence training certification and have one (1) year experience in military staff planning or intelligence planning at BN-level or higher.
